Alex was first brought on the Ark II as a baby, found on the streets of Old Renya, adopted by a Quartermaster. Raised by the community of elders aboard the Ark II, Alex followed the footsteps of his foster father, starting his apprenticeship as quartermaster sooner than most. Now 32, Alex has grown into a quick-witted and attractive fellow, spending his days keeping the fleets inventory straight and feeding his material obsessions with gleanings from trade deals with the earthborn. He tall confident demeanor is contrasted by his laid-back behavior and boyish looks, he can be immature in casual situations, and has been known to flirt to get his way.
Alex's confidence hides his fears of not belonging to the Skyborn. He never knew his real parents although he had been raised assuming they'd been lost in the floods. While he and foster father shared a mutual respect, Alex had always thought of him as a boss, not as a father.
